About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background in mine closure, remediation, or northern contaminated sites to join AECOM’s Environment Business Line. This role will support one of Canada’s largest and most complex mine closure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage and execute the scope of work under each Task Authorization (TA)
- →Lead TA-specific meetings and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams
- →Prepare project plans, amendments, financials, and support reporting
- →Provide technical leadership in mine closure and remediation
- →Support construction supervision, field programs, and technical reviews
- →Track schedule, cost, progress, and risks; mitigate and manage change
- →Liaise with Site Operator for staff logistics, training, and accommodations
- →Oversee travel logistics and accommodation schedules
- →Respond to submittals, RFIs, and address construction-phase issues
- →Ensure adherence to program safety, environmental, and quality standards
Requirements
- ✓Strong project management background
- ✓Technical experience in mine closure, tailings/contaminated materials management, or mine-site infrastructure decommissioning
- ✓Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
- ✓Team-oriented professional with a can-do attitude
- ✓Enthusiastic and collaborative approach to problem-solving
