About the Role
Airwallex is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager, Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join our Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) team in Singapore. This key role will drive and embed Airwallex’s compliance program, supporting regulatory obligations for the Singapore market and partnering with internal teams to design and implement screening and monitoring rules.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own and develop the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) compliance framework in Singapore, building on Airwallex’s global compliance framework
- →Manage departmental and individual targets for the FCC Team
- →Provide day-to-day management and execution of Airwallex’s AML regulatory interactions and examinations
- →Represent Airwallex with critical external stakeholders, including regulators and financial partners
- →Develop, implement, and maintain an effective anti-money laundering program
- →Manage day-to-day tasks including enhanced due diligence approvals, name screening alert escalations, and filing Suspicious Matter Reports
- →Provide advice and support to Commercial and Operations teams on compliance matters
- →Work closely with the Financial Partnership team to address enquiries from external parties
- →Develop and manage monitoring and reporting processes for senior management and the board
- →Design and execute reports to measure success and performance of AML initiatives
- →Coordinate with stakeholders to address issues raised in internal audit reports and regulatory examinations
- →Drive internal controls design and monitoring to support Compliance Operational policy
Requirements
- ✓A minimum of 8 years financial crimes compliance experience in a financial institution licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
- ✓Ability to multitask and handle challenging priorities under deadlines
- ✓Credible stakeholder engagement and management skills
- ✓Written and verbal fluency in English
