About the Role

We are looking for a Global Sanctions Program Manager to join Block Compliance. This role focuses on managing and mitigating economic sanctions risks across the organization, ensuring sanctions screening systems are effective and aligned with regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

→Own and execute annual and periodic sanctions list management reviews
→Conduct sanctions list governance reviews and document rationale
→Partner with Legal and Compliance to assess regulatory changes
→Review sanctions-related risk assessments and narratives
→Serve as primary point of contact for sanctions systems change management
→Ensure sanctions system changes follow established governance standards
→Maintain and update sanctions-related policies and procedures
→Coordinate with cross-functional partners to support audits and reviews
→Identify and track sanctions systems-related issues and enhancement opportunities
→Provide subject matter expertise on sanctions systems governance

Requirements

✓5+ years of experience in sanctions compliance or related risk management roles
✓Experience with U.S. and non-U.S. sanctions regimes
✓Hands-on experience with sanctions list management
✓Experience with sanctions screening systems and change management processes
✓Ability to draft and maintain compliance policies and procedures
✓Experience working with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Operations teams
✓Ability to translate technical and regulatory concepts into clear documentation
