About the Role
We are looking for a Reconditioning Manager to oversee operations in a Carvana Inspection Center. This role involves supervising a team of leads and associates in a lean manufacturing environment, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining high associate engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center
- →Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports
- →Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals
- →Ensure adherence to operating standards and performance metrics
- →Create a positive team environment that follows Carvana’s Values
- →Recruit, train, and maintain supervisory staff
- →Ensure progression path training and certification processes are executed
- →Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback
- →Maintain production capacity levels and assist with planning
- →Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
- →Provide guidance to meet performance metrics
- →Engage the team regarding quality, production, and cost objectives
- →Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- ✓5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing
- ✓Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- ✓Experience leading and developing associates
- ✓Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics
- ✓Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- ✓Must be at least 18 years of age
- ✓Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean record
- ✓Ability to maintain high volume and quality in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- ✓Ability to work with and through teams to achieve results
- ✓Strong analysis and decision-making ability
- ✓Proficient computer skills
- ✓Ability to work overtime and on weekends
- ✓Ability to walk up to three miles daily
- ✓Ability to stand for extended periods with physical demands
- ✓Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently
- ✓Use of safety equipment and protective garments
