About the Role
The Reconditioning Operations Manager oversees multiple reconditioning lines at Carvana's Inspection & Reconditioning Center, ensuring production metrics are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership and operational expertise in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee multiple reconditioning lines, planning production for full working shifts
- →Manage facilities to meet or exceed targets in production, cost, and quality
- →Identify bottlenecks affecting site throughput and efficiency, conducting root cause analysis
- →Conduct weekly performance reviews with Senior Reconditioning leadership
- →Guide daily site manager huddles to establish priorities
- →Execute Continuous Improvement projects at the home site and throughout the region
- →Foster growth and development of Reconditioning Lead and Manager populations
- →Uphold Carvana operating standards and processes
- →Ensure compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing
- ✓Experience leading a team of over 50 associates with a track record of employee development
- ✓Proven ability to solve urgent operational challenges through root cause analysis
- ✓Excellent communication skills
- ✓Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years
- ✓Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Must be at least 18 years of age
- ✓Ability to stand for extended periods with frequent physical activity
- ✓Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
- ✓Must be able to walk up to three miles each day
- ✓Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- ✓Must be able to use safety equipment including face shields, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and protective garments
