About the Role
D2L is seeking a Content Strategist with expertise in localization and technical writing to join their team. This role involves crafting and managing content strategies that are user-centric, culturally relevant, and technically accurate, contributing to the success of their products and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Plan and create multi-lingual content strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- →Produce high-quality, persona-specific documentation that meets applicable writing and information architecture standards.
- →Create accessible gifs and video tutorials to help end-users succeed in their daily tasks.
- →Develop and follow style guide and writing guidelines to drive brand consistency.
- →Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency.
- →Work with cross-functional teams to understand product and documentation requirements.
- →Manage release cycle tasks and assignments within set deadlines.
- →Develop, conduct, and track usability tests with internal/external stakeholders.
- →Analyze productivity metrics.
- →Engage with internal and external stakeholders to address multi-lingual content gaps.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree, technical writing certificate, or equivalent work experience.
- ✓Experience in using version control tools such as GitHub.
- ✓Experience working with XML-based documentation publishing software, such as MadCap Flare.
- ✓Familiarity with localization tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ), content and learning management systems (CMS and LMS).
- ✓Understanding of SEO principles and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- ✓Knowledge of programming languages, such as XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- ✓Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
