About the Role
We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support the overall success of Major Projects in Canada. This role involves coordinating Program Wide internal projects across various disciplines and managing projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and manage Program wide projects including reconstructions/rehabilitation of railways, airfields, integrated roadways, watermain, storm and sanitary sewer, active transportation infrastructure, utility relocation and coordination
- →Monitor industry standards and developments, assess client needs, and make concrete decisions on proposed solutions
- →Monitor project financial performance and support invoicing of the client
- →Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and internal project team members
- →Participate in the preparation of engineering services change orders and proposals for additional effort/work
- →Maintain control of the schedule to ensure delivery by agreed-upon due dates
- →Advance projects through the concept, design, and construction phases
- →Liaise with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors
- →Maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, internal and external stakeholders
- →Track timelines and submissions of work, supporting the delivery of these elements
- →Design and provide design assistance/support to other Project Managers on project delivery
Requirements
