About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join Isar Aerospace and manage institutional projects with external stakeholders such as ESA, DLR, and EC. This role involves leading projects aimed at revolutionizing space accessibility and advancing the space industry.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage institutional projects with external stakeholders (ESA, DLR, EC, governmental institutions, etc.)
→Ensure project milestones are met according to plan
→Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for institutional projects
→Derive mission and technical requirements for launch system architecture
→Create systems architectures and definition of functional analysis
→Perform concept studies and trade-offs
→Communicate effectively with project contributors and between the company and external stakeholders
→Create and manage high-quality project and technical documentation in accordance with external stakeholder expectations
→Support proposal writing for institutional bids

Requirements

✓Master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar
✓At least 5 years of work experience as a project manager, including external stakeholder management
✓At least 2 years of work experience in an institutional environment
✓Strong project management skills and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
✓Basic understanding of mechanical, avionics, and propulsion systems
✓Experience with material selection and make vs. buy decisions for system components
✓Positive and flexible attitude
✓Proactive mindset
✓Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
✓Fluent English and German language skills
