About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Animator to join our PROJECT ORION team. This role focuses on creating high-quality animations for an open-world survival game using Unreal Engine 5.
Key Responsibilities
- βCreate high-quality animations and implement them in Unreal Engine 5
- βOptimize animation pipelines and solve technical issues
- βCollaborate with artists and engineers to technically solve complex animation requirements
- βImplement procedural/IK solutions to make character movements more realistic and interactive
Requirements
- βStrong understanding of animation principles, body mechanics, timing, and spacing
- βProficiency with 3D DCC tools like Blender
- βExperience with Unreal Engine 4/5 animation implementation and workflow
- βBasic understanding of character rigging and skinning
- βControl Rig/IK skills: Experience with Unreal Engine's Control Rig or advanced IK system implementation
- βProcedural animation skills: Experience with procedural animation techniques
- βProblem-solving skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex animation systems
