About the Role

We are looking for a process-minded, tech-savvy legal operations specialist to join our Legal team at MariaDB. This role focuses on the operational excellence of the Legal department, working closely with Legal and Sales Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage the daily flow of legal requests and contracts, ensuring contracts are routed correctly for internal review, signing, and archiving.
→Perform initial operational review of NDAs, procurement contracts, and standard sales agreements for basic accuracy and identification of terms requiring review.
→Organize and manage copyright and trademark registrations with external law and patent firms.
→Assist in streamlining the contract review process and contribute to legal processes, templates, policies, reports, and KPIs.
→Provide operational support to Sales and other global teams, helping them understand how to request legal support and check the status of their requests.
→Stay current on Legal Tech including AI for lawyers and legal operations.

Requirements

✓Minimum 2 years of experience in legal operations or legal project management, or in a contract manager, contract administrator, legal secretary or paralegal role, ideally within a software or technology environment.
✓A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or Law. A law degree or partial legal education is a plus, but active bar admission is not required.
✓Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word) and Google Workspace. Proficiency with Salesforce and DocuSign (CLM & eSignature).
✓Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workflows without losing track of individual requests.
✓Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse, global, distributed teams and external legal vendors.
