About the Role

We are seeking a Photonics Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Astera Labs, a company providing rack-scale AI infrastructure through purpose-built connectivity solutions. This role involves building and scaling PIC engineering, design, process, packaging, and test validation teams in the silicon photonics and optical module ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

→Own end-to-end talent acquisition strategy and execution for critical Photonics Talent
→Build and maintain a high-quality, always-on talent pipeline of passive candidates globally
→Leverage deep industry networks
→Partner with hiring managers and technical leads to understand technical requirements
→Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies
→Manage full-cycle recruiting with a focus on speed-to-hire
→Track and report key metrics and continuously improve processes
→Represent the company as a thought leader in photonics talent acquisition

Requirements

✓7+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with at least 4+ years in photonics
✓Demonstrated success building silicon photonics teams
✓Strong technical fluency in photonic integrated circuits, silicon photonics platforms, and optical packaging
✓Proven ability to attract and close passive, top-tier PhD and senior engineering talent
✓Exceptional network within the photonics community
✓Experience working with executive stakeholders in innovative environments
